Job Description
Our client, a prestigious law firm specializing in litigation practice, is currently looking for an eDiscovery Specialist to join their dynamic team. The role involves assisting in organizing and maintaining Electronically Stored Information (ESI) and other litigation documents, providing support for eDiscovery projects, and offering consultation on ESI processes. The successful candidate will have experience with eDiscovery tools such as Nuix or Relativity, exceptional attention to detail, and strong communication skills. This hybrid role involves working in the office for 3 days per week, with office locations available in Chicago, Los Angeles, Dallas, Houston, Miami, New York City, Palo Alto, San Francisco, Washington D.C., and Tampa.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Collaborate with colleagues, clients, legal teams, and consultants to document case-related materials
- Organize, categorize, and develop systems to manage case documents efficiently for each engagement
- Leverage litigation support technology, including digital databases and online resources
- Review and compile client documents to ensure compliance with litigation hold standards and other regulatory requirements
- Assist in the collection of physical and digital documents
- Coordinate document production as needed, with a strong understanding of eDiscovery concepts and the EDRM framework
- Oversee all database-related tasks, create databases, and respond to the needs of department leaders, legal teams, or clients
- Design workflows and databases to streamline document review processes
- Manage daily database operations, reporting, and the administration of document and electronic evidence collection
- Ensure the smooth and timely flow of documents and evidence, maintaining quality control of database content and document images for cases across various regions
- Convert and manipulate data load files across litigation platforms to ensure efficiency and cost-effectiveness
- Handle document collection, organization, and production
- Manage the collection, processing, culling, review, and hosting of electronic and hard copy data
- Facilitate the integration of vendor data into firm databases and create reports to track eDiscovery progress
- Oversee quality control and technical review of vendor deliveries
- Provide training on litigation support tools and maintain up-to-date knowledge of eDiscovery systems
- Generate workflow reports and support case teams at various levels
- Train and guide legal teams on effectively utilizing technology
- Offer technical solutions through expertise in eDiscovery tools
- Be knowledgeable in Australian Superior Court practices and document exchange protocols with local firms and regulators
- Assist in drafting protocols for new eDiscovery matters
QUALIFICATIONS- Bachelor’s degree is required, with a preference for fields like Information Technology, Computer Science, or Law
- Experience with eDiscovery software is essential
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills
- High attention to detail
- Solid understanding of forensics and eDiscovery processes
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to draft clear reports and communicate professionally with all stakeholders
- Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times
- Ability to work independently, exhibit professionalism, and thrive in a team environment
- Good judgment and creative problem-solving skills
- Willingness to travel both when needed
Expected salary for this non-exempt role is $140,000 - $175,000, commensurate with experience, training, skills, qualifications, and other market factors.
