Job Profile
FRA’s Forensic Technology practice is a global data and technology team focused on supporting clients dealing with complex regulatory and compliance issues, investigations, and disputes. Our team works with large multifaceted datasets across multiple industries such as Aerospace and Defense, Manufacturing, Health Sciences, and Finance.
As a Director in our Forensic Technology practice, you will play a significant role in generating new business and developing existing client relationships. Directors are expected to interact with high-level executives during both business development activities and client delivery while managing the execution of client engagements relating to the full Electronic Discovery Reference Model (EDRM) process. Successful candidates will work in a collegial and collaborative manner with internal resources, lead client communications as a legal project management subject matter expert, and demonstrate effective organizational skills including coordination, documentation, and execution. You will oversee and lead multiple projects and complex work streams, ensuring delivery against plan, mitigating risks and issues, and supporting the seamless integration of our advisory services into broader forensic accounting and technology solutions.

  • Oversee a portfolio of engagements through all aspects of the engagement lifecycle including development of work plans, budgets, communications and feedback, resource allocation, and client delivery and reporting.
  • Display a deep understanding of client needs and priorities, leveraging experience to anticipate potential challenges and adapting delivery approach to continually changing circumstances.
  • Serve as a focal point and technical subject matter expert in collaboration with fraud investigators, internal/external auditors, lawyers, and regulatory agencies.
  • Develop and innovate new client service offerings and products based on anticipated market trends and client demands that incorporate cutting-edge technologies and techniques.
  • Deliver high-quality results by effectively supervising team members in multiple geographic areas and developing and applying appropriate quality control processes and procedures while reviewing work product.
  • Direct the execution of e-discovery operational tasks, including remote collections, evidence management, data processing, review support, and productions, as needed.
  • Support and embody a company-wide collaborative culture to ensure that teams are aligned and can efficiently work together while advancing the growth of colleagues through coaching, feedback, and knowledge sharing.
  • Cultivate a culture of accountability and risk mitigation through demonstrating adherence to risk mitigation policies as well as incorporating feedback and observations from other professionals to continually improve strategies and guidance.
  • Advance personal branding and the marketplace reputation of FRA by speaking at seminars/ conferences/roundtables, authoring thought leadership materials, and active participation in relevant industry trade groups.
  • Improve and protect business positioning and interests through strategic decision-making and contract oversight.
  • Drive Forensic Technology and FRA strategic initiatives including the usage of new technology and techniques, enhanced processes, and procedures, and thought leadership.
Required Qualifications:
  • Evidenced capability to establish and sustain a book of business with a minimum annual revenue generation of approximately $1.0m.
  • Recognized track record of establishing credibility with clients and senior stakeholders quickly, managing relationships, creating business development opportunities, and delivering written and/or oral proposals to clients.
  • Strong academic background with a Bachelor or Master’s Degree in a STEM discipline (Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, etc.), Accounting, or other relevant field or equivalent work experience.
  • A minimum of 12-15 years of professional work experience, with at least ten years of experience in eDiscovery, digital forensics, or similar disciplines, including usage of industry-standard eDiscovery software such as Relativity (One).
  • Possesses two or more digital forensics or eDiscovery-related certifications.
  • Command a well-developed network of current contacts in the market, strong personal brand, and a positive market profile.
  • Experience as a team leader managing both the entire eDiscovery lifecycle (document collection, processing, review, and production) and complete engagement lifecycle (proposal, plan, delivery, closure, and archival).
  • Practical and recent experience in scoping and leading multiple complex and concurrent investigations with a strong understanding of eDiscovery workflows and functionality and knowledge of relevant concepts (e.g. evidence preservation and collection, data privacy, legal privilege, investigative interviewing techniques, business intelligence).
  • Proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop large teams with particular focus on personal and professional growth and mentorship to contribute to revenue generation.
  • Demonstrate high commercial acuity, contractual knowledge, and risk management skills.
  • Experience leveraging Continuous Active Learning, email threading, communication analytics, and other similar review culling strategies to reduce and prioritize document review populations.
  • Exhibits excellent communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate complex and technical concepts to a variety of audiences from different backgrounds.
Preferred Qualifications:
