Job Description

Position Title: Government Realty Specialist

Division: Advancia Aeronautics, LLC

Location: Remote

FLSA Classification: Non-Exempt

Employment Class: Hourly ($30-40 hourly)

Position Summary:

Advancia Aeronautics, LLC is hiring Government Realty Specialists (GS 1170 Series) to support the Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), Office of Trust Services (OTS), Division of Real Estate Services (DRES). Realty Specialists perform contract management services transactions by assisting in the processing of applications regarding rights-of-way, permitting, and leases, and coordinating with Tribes to assist with moving the applications to approval for FAST-41 covered projects.

Position contingent upon award of contract, government acceptance of candidate, and positive adjudication of government investigation.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Prioritize to improve both the quantity and quality of Tribal assistance provided in Federal review and authorizations.
  • Review and analyze Tribal applications for consistency of required documentation according to BIA policies and procedures.
  • Facilitate potential recommendations to approve Part 1.2 secretarial waiver of regulations depending on right-of-way grant or lease negotiations.
  • Coordinate with Tribal applicants and representatives, NEPA staff, FAST-41 POCs, appraisers, internal BIA staff, and any other federal partners and entities
  • Encode and Track applications into the Trust Asset and Accounting Management System (TAAMS) for reporting and monitoring of rights-of-way, Tribal Authorizations, Service Line Agreements, and business lease applications on tribal broadband projects.
  • Analyze current and historical transactions, and encumbrances, including trust titles and records, and they are accurately reporting on the Title Status Reports. Conduct outreach on the Environmental Review Improvement Fund Tribal Assistance Program to ensure Tribes are aware and provide technical assistance guidance to Tribes and compact and contract Tribes on submitting a complete application for approval.
  • Assist in completing data calls and reporting requirements from the BIA Regions and Agencies for GAO and OIG engagements.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree Required
  • Five (5) years of relevant experience in government realty operations
  • Experience with TAAMS (preferred)
  • Must be a US Citizen

Working Conditions/Working Environment: The work environment characteristics described here are representative of those an employee encounters while performing the essential functions of this job. The employee shall work from and maintain their remote office space (i.e., personal residence). The employee is expected to perform 8 hours during the normal duty hours of 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM EDT, Monday through Friday excluding Federal holidays.
