Job Description

Island Sushi And Grill in Las Vegas, NV is looking for one Part-time prep cook to join our team. We are located on 9400 S Eastern Ave #103. Our ideal candidate is a self-starter, ambitious, and reliable.

Responsibilities

• Follow recipes and prepare simple dishes
• Sanitize and prepare equipment and workstation for cooking
• Weigh and measure ingredients
• Mix, wash, peel, chop, grind, strain, slice meat and vegetables
• Basic cooking functions such as kneading dough, and preparing sauces
• Label stock and inventory all ingredients
• Transfers supplies and equipment between storage and work areas
• Washes dishes in 3-compartment sink

Qualifications

• Ability to communicate and listen to team members
• Dedicated to working as a team towards one goal
• Experience as a Prep Cook and Dishwasher a plus
• Must have SNHD Food Handler card

Compensation includes $12-14 hourly wage based on experience, and health insurance eligibility after introductory period for full-time (30 hours) employees.
