Title: Senior Data Science Manager, Member-Centric Analytics
Location: Hillsboro OR - Hybrid 3 days on-site
Duration: Full Time, Direct Hire
Compensation: $169,000 - $187,000/yr.

- 8 years of professional experience in a data science role, working with large amounts of data, and implementing end-to-end (inception to productization) solutions in the financial services industry
- 3+ years of managing and leading a high-performing team
- They MUST be a "working/hands-on” manager – working alongside their team
- CURRENTLY hands-on Data Science, Python, SQL, and/or Spark
- Proven experience surrounding member-centricity/customer-centricity/customer analytics
- Proven experience in increasing revenue or engagement, optimizing processes
Goal of the role/problem it is solving for the org:
- Collaborate/partner with stakeholders to define questions that are addressed and will lead to the optimization of the member experience and journey
- Working mainly with CC, checking/saving, mortgage, insurance, lending, and member experience BUs
- For example, looking at the current issues that exist in member servicing
- We want to understand the customer issues seamlessly
- Looking at customer comments they leave on the web or surveys, first contact to resolution – we want to look at the messages and see what the main issues are
- We connect them to the financial impact and give the respective product stakeholders a report on what we have observed.
- Member experience being more seamless, smooth, and excellent
- Achieving 100% satisfaction from our members
Some ways success will be measured:
- Engaging with stakeholders
- Building relationships
- Identifying questions to be addressed
- Building stories off the insights and how to implement them
- Driving a team of 2-3 data scientists on specific milestones and timelines
- Formulate questions for stakeholders to continue to increase the business of the team – meaning expanding the reach of advanced analytics in the organization
Challenges they may initially face or things that need to be done in the 1 st 30/60-days:
- You will need to get in tune with the stakeholder levels, they all stand at different levels and face different issues
- Get to know who your "client” is (stakeholder)
- Getting attuned with the team, leading effectively, report effectively, coach, and mentor
- Not looking for a number cruncher, looking for a problem solver
- People have come in with the mindset of asking what to do, and the manager needs this person to know what to do
