Job Title: Staff/Senior Accountant

Years of Experience: 3+ years

Location: West Palm Beach, FL

Work Model: Onsite

Base Salary: $80,000-$100,000/year

Job Overview:

The Staff Accountant reports to the CFO and is responsible for preparing financial records, tracking assets, maintaining account reconciliations, and supporting various financial activities with a focus on strong customer service. Initially, the role will emphasize account reconciliations before expanding into broader accounting tasks.

Responsibilities:

• Manage Accounts Payable and Receivable, including invoicing, deposits, collections, and customer inquiries.
• Prepare and code AR billings, monthly requisitions, and AP payments accurately; track and resolve invoice issues.
• Conduct General Ledger, inter-company, asset, AR/AP, and bank reconciliations.
• Support Project Management staff with monthly billing preparation and project cost transfers.
• Monitor cashflow and communicate receivables status with Project Management.
• Calculate, report, and reconcile tax-related payments, including sales, use, and excise taxes; process 1099 forms.
• Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing activities; manage document scanning, filing, and data entry.
• Provide backup and cross-train within the accounting team; attend training and maintain professional knowledge.
• Contribute to team success by completing tasks and supporting a collaborative work environment.

Qualifications:

• 3+ years of Staff Accounting experience; Construction Accounting a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel (Pivot Tables, V-Lookups); Sage, Procore, HH2 experience a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field of study.
  
• Self-starter with a collaborative, team-oriented mindset.

• Strong communication skills in English; able to follow instructions well.
• Positive attitude, strong work ethic, and a desire to learn and grow.
