Brassfield Estate Winery is seeking an experienced tasting room manager to join our team. This position will report directly to the general manager. The ideal candidate is extremely passionate about wine sales and learning about our property.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/DUTIES:
1. Oversee the day-to-day operations of the tasting room which includes tastings, visitor relations and staff performance.
2. Train and supervise tasting room staff.
3. Create and execute engaging, educational and memorable experiences for our guests.
4. Effectively suggest and sell wine and club memberships.
5. Develop sales by trends via historical data.
6. Become proficient in Wine Direct.
7. Work Schedule Tuesday-Saturday, working the tasting room bar Friday & Saturday.
8. Create and manage tasting room events.
9. Co-manage the wine club with GM & Winemaking team.
10. Work closely with marketing team creating email and social media content.
11. Create VIP experiences inside and outside the tasting room.
12. Participate and assist with Special Events on and off site.
13. Maintains appearance and cleanliness of the Tasting Room, outdoor guest space and kitchen - including polishing glassware, dusting retail shelves and clean-up.
14. Takes the initiative for self-development in the areas of our wines, our brands, general hospitality, and for acquiring effective sales techniques.
15. Other duties as assigned.

Physical Requirements:
1. Ability to lift and move 50 pounds repetitively.
2. Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time.
3. Ability to effectively stock wine, set up and breakdown of event, tables, chairs, etc. Able to assist in moving heavy objects.
4. Ability to understand and accurately follow written and verbal instructions.
5. Must be able to work flexible schedules including weekends, holidays and some evenings.

Skills and Experience:
1. Must be 21 years or older.
2. Possess or obtain the Responsible Beverage Service (RBS) training.
3. Outstanding ability in customer service and working with the public.
4. Possesses or can develop solid knowledge of wines and winemaking processes.
5. Professional appearance and demeanor.
6. 2-5 years related experience preferred.
