Ingredients
- 1 1/2 cups Quinoa
- 3/4 th cup Yellow moong dal
- A large piece of ginger
- Few green chillies
- Eno fruit salt
- Citric acid
- Salt
- Sugar
- Red chilli powder
- Pepper powder
- Coriander
Method
1. Wash and soak quinoa and moong dal for 4 hours or so.
2. Drain water and grind together with little water, the dals, ginger and green chillies into a thickish paste
3. Add salt, sugar, citric acid and mix together. Taste for seasoning.
4. Grease the steaming dishes. And get the steamer ready with boiling water.
5. When you are ready to steam, add the eno fruit salt and sprinkle some water over it to get it to bubble and mix it all together. Quickly pour the mixture into your steaming dishes.
6. Sprinkle some red chillie powder and/ or pepper powder
7. Steam for 25 mins or until done.
8. After it cools up a little bit, cut up into pieces. Sprinkle some chopped coriander and serve warm.
