  • 500 gms of Whole wheat flour
  • 150 gms Rava
  • 100 gms Powdered sugar
  • 1/2 tsp Nutmeg powder
  • 8-10 Cashewnuts
  • 1 tsp Cardamom powder
  • Toddy (1/2 a Bottle) or 1 cup Yoghurt
  • 4 tbsp Oil
  • Salt as per taste

Method

  • Step 1
    5 mins
  • Mix the flour and the rava.
  • Step 2
    15 mins
  • Add in the nutmeg powder, cardamom powder, powdered sugar, sugar, salt, oil and cashew nuts.
    Now prepare the dough using toddy
  • Step 3
    3 hours
  • Cover this dough and keep it in a warm place for 3 to 4 hours.
  • Step 4
    30 mins
  • Make thick balls from the dough and fry them over medium flame till they are nicely browned from all sides.
  • Step 5
    5 mins
  • Serve the bhakras with hot ginger tea on a lovely rainy day 🙂
