Fried Jumbo Prawns
Frozen (but you can use fresh) and instead of prawns can use fish chicken mutton paneer etcToday 25 April 2020 lockdown still continues. 2 days back our colony committee has organised for frozen seafood sale and sister had bought 2 kgs worth of jumbo prawns and fish so half the jumbo prawns were used for curry rice for tomorrow’s lunch and half of the jumbo prawns were used as fried jumbo prawns for today’s dinner.
- Marination of prawns 12 hours before frying
- 30 jumbo prawns (washed cleaned deveined and drain off all the water)
- 1/4 teaspoon Garam Masala powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Red chilly powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon Sambhar powder
- 1 tablespoon ginger garlic paste
- 1/4 teaspoon keya mixed herbs
- For coating
- 1 quarter plate Cornflour (of you want a crispy batter use semolina also known as rava or suji)
- Half of 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Half of 1/4 teaspoon Red chilly powder (add more if you want spicy)
- Mix all the above ingredients well and keep aside
- For egg wash
- Half of 1/4 teaspoon Salt
- 1 egg beaten
- Half of 1/4 teaspoon salt
- Half of 1/4 teaspoon of red chilly powder
- Mix all the above ingredients well and keep aside
