Was a Sunday and had Pepperoni left over after making grill sandwiches so my sister thought of this easy recipe for Sunday evening tea time snacks.

  • Ingredients
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoon yeast
  • 1 teaspoon sugar
  • Keyo Oregano
  • Keyo Chilly Flakes
  • 1/4 cup melted butter
  • 2 tablespoon butter mixed with a bit of grated garlic for brushing the tops (for people who don't eat garlic can just use plain normal salted butter without adding garlic to it)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 10 oz mozzarella cut into 20 small cubes
  • 4 oz shredded cheddar or Parmesan cheese
  • Pepperoni for stuffing (You can use paneer or chicken or potatoes any other stuffing you like)

Method

    In the bowl of a stand mixer fitted with a dough hook, stir together yeast and water. Alternately you can also use a hand mixer. Let rest for approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
    Stir in sugar, oregano, chilly flakes, 1/4 cup melted butter and oil.
    Mix well until everything is combined.
    Gradually add in flour and salt mix well until everything is combined.
    Allow the stand or hand mixer to knead the dough for 10 minutes or you can knead by hand.
    Add dough to a greased bowl cover and allow to rise for 30 minutes.
    Preheat oven to 375 degrees and grease a large baking sheet.
    Divide dough into approximately 20 pieces.
    Pat each piece into a disk place a chunk of Mozzarella and Cheddar or Parmesan cheeses and the stuffing of your wish in the center and pinch the edges over the cheese tightly and place seam side down on the baking sheet. Repeat with the rest of the dough.
    Bake for 11 to 15 minutes until golden brown and the cheeses are bubbling.
    After removing the buns from the oven brush them with melted butter and serve hot.
