  • Use one can of pre chopped pineapple.
  • For the cake base:
  • One egg
  • 1 1/3 cup flour
  • A pinch of bicarb soda
  • 1/2 tsp baking powder
  • 1/4 tsp salt
  • 2 tbsps melted butter
  • 1/2 cup of sugar
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • Pineapple juice from the can

Method

    First combine together the sugar and the melted butter and then combine
    One egg
    1 1/3 cup flour
    A pinch of bicarb soda
    1/2 tsp baking powder
    1/4 tsp salt
    2 tbsps melted butter
    1/2 cup of sugar
    1 tsp vanilla extract
    Pineapple juice from the can, to form a lump free batter.
    In small cups put 1 tbsp of butter and some sugar and put it in the preheated oven to caramelize. Once done add the pineapple pieces to it.
    Pour the batter over and bake in the oven at 180 c for 30 mins..
    Wait for 5 mins until the cakes cool. Then run a knife through the edges and turn them over onto a serving plate. Leave aside for 30 mins before digging into it. Enjoy!!
    Note: This cake can be made with apricots, peaches, pears, apples, bananas, strawberries as well
